Google is going to release atleast 18 Android Phones by year’s end. It was disclosed by Andy Rubin, senior director for Mobile Platforms for Google and the spearhead of the Android operating system.
Rubin said the number could be as high as 20 and that these 18-20 devices will be made by eight or nine different manufacturers.He didnt disclose the name of the manufacturers of the phones. Read the rest of this entry »
Pirated copies labeled as the Technical Preview of Microsoft’s Office 2010 have leaked to the Internet, according to searches on popular file-sharing sites.
Office 2010 joined the also-still-unfinished Windows 7 on BitTorrent Saturday. Searches on the Mininova.org as well as the Pirate Bay tracking site revealed leaked copies of both the 32- and 64-bit editions of the application suite. Upgrading from Ubuntu 8.10
To upgrade from Ubuntu 8.10 on a desktop system, press Alt+F2 and type in “update-manager -d” (without the quotes) into the command box. Update Manager should open up and tell you: New distribution release '9.04' is available. Click Upgrade and follow the on-screen instructions.
To upgrade from Ubuntu 8.10 on a server system: install the update-manager-core package if it is not already installed; edit /etc/update-manager/release-upgrades and set Prompt=normal; launch the upgrade tool with the command sudo do-release-upgrade; and follow the on-screen instructions.
